Hi! My name is Grace Goukler, and I live in New York, where I spend an impressive amount of time romanticizing things that probably don’t need romanticizing.
I enjoy movement, storytelling, teaching, laughing, and people who make life feel slightly more cinematic than it actually is. I grew up dancing competitively and have been lucky enough to perform throughout New York and across 26 countries, which mostly means I’ve spent a lot of my life living out of suitcases, and learning how to make anywhere feel like home for a little while. Since moving (and settling) into the city I've gotten the chance to work with top choreographers, Kellen Stancil, Jason Williams, Chris Hernandez, Kenichi Kasamatsu, to name a few. I continue to train and perform in creative spaces that make dance feel alive.
Somewhere along the line, I realized I wanted to contribute to that feeling myself. Sometimes that can mean choreographing, sometimes performing, and sometimes daydreaming a full production piece from start to finish that will never leave my brain.
I sing and dance in public more often than I should. And I firmly believe “that’s showbiz baby” is applicable to nearly every life situation. Anyway, Thanks for being here!
