ARTIST STATEMENT
Dance, to me, is freedom.
It has given me a way to connect with others, express myself, and invite people to experience that same sense of freedom. I love that dance can be both meaningful and fun, and that movement can communicate emotions.
My work has taken me throughout New York City and 46 countries, giving me the opportunity to perform for and connect with people from all over the world. These experiences continue to shape me as a dancer and artist, and are a driving factor of what keeps me pursuing a life in the arts.
My dance teacher was one of the first people to recognize my passion and helped guide me into the artist I am today. That experience taught me the value of having someone believe in you, and inspired me to create that same sense of possibility for others. As I continue my professional career I have found a deep connection with teaching younger dancers. The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.
Dance is my way of connecting, creating, and giving others the freedom to feel.
