Welcome!
My name is Grace Goukler, and I'm so glad to share a little bit more of me with you!
I started dancing at age 7, and have been in awe of it ever since. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where I trained in multiple styles at N-Step Dance Academy under Alexis Kozar. I also got the opportunity to assist, teach, and choreograph, and I’ve become aware of how much a sport can become your happiness. Being apart of a team where I once was a mini, and grew to be a Senior Company member, I cherish the life lessons, and love I have for the artists around me. Here is where I was taught the passion of dance, and also fell in love with teaching the passion of dance. I have gotten to choreograph dance competition pieces for N-Step Dance Academy, and enjoy expressing my creativity teaching and coming up with new movement for dancers.
I started working with Step One Dance Company out of high school in New York City, and traveled internationally with Holland America line performing for audiences and people around the world. I relocated to New York City to pursue Broadway, and to keep training in all styles of dance. I did Broadway Dance Centers "Professional Semester" and trained in all styles rigorously for 4 months, and performed at the Alvin Ailey theatre under BDC's Dance program. I got the opportunity to train closely under Kenichi Kasmatsu at this time, gaining a mentor, and learning new foundations in street styles.
Most recently I had the opportunity to work with Brayden Singley in "Mein Heir" a Musical Theatre dance concept video, performed for Jason Williams in "The Jason Williams Experience" in New York City, and got cast as Satine in "Moulin Rouge" directed by Kellen Stancil at the Alvin Ailey Theatre. My love and dedication for all styles in dance, creates a future that holds no boundaries. I get just as giddy putting on a pair of pink ballet tights as I do hip hop pants!
I stay eager and determined to pursue my dreams, performing and captivating audiences, educating the next generation of dancers, and sharing my love for dance with others. As the saying goes, "Life is short and there will always be dirty dishes, so let's dance!" - James Howe
